How Political System Works?
A young boy asked his father to explain how the political system works.
The father smiled and said, "Well, you are a bit too young to understand the complex theories, so let me give you a household analogy to help you process it. Look at our family: I am the sole financial provider, so think of me as the Private Sector. Your mother manages the household, so she is the Government. Because we both take care of you, you are the People. Your newborn sister represents the Future, and our maid, who keeps everything running, is the Working Class. Go to sleep, think about it, and we will discuss it in the morning."
The boy went to bed, but his mind was racing as he tried to piece the analogy together. Later that night, he was startled awake by his baby sister crying hysterically. He went into her nursery and found her sitting in her crib, completely drenched in a soiled diaper.
Seeking help, the boy hurried to his parents' bedroom. He tried to wake his mother, but she was in a deep, heavy sleep and refused to budge, merely mumbling for him to find his father. When the boy looked over at the other side of the bed, he noticed his father wasn't even there.
He walked down the hallway to look for him, only to hear his father’s voice muffled behind the closed door of the maid's bedroom. Flustered and not knowing what to do, the boy simply gave up and went back to his own room.
The next morning, the father found the boy at the kitchen table. "So, son," the father asked proudly, "did you manage to process how the political system works?"
"Well," the boy replied, "I’m still not entirely sure how the political system works, but last night I completely understood Political Corruption."
The father blinked, surprised. "What do you mean by that?"
The boy looked him dead in the eye. "When the Future is drowning in filth and crying out for help, the People turn to the Government, but the Government is fast asleep and ignoring the crisis. So the People look to the Private Sector for leadership, only to find that the Private Sector is busy screwing the Working Class. In the end, the People are left entirely neglected, confused, and forced to clean up the mess."
